Automatry is delivering smart-ready BMS and EMS systems at 105 Judd Street in King's Cross alongside Dowds Group.

The project shows how the BMS can become a structured data backbone for modern smart-building operation.

The building is being prepared for modern lab-enabled workspace, where the controls layer cannot just run plant in isolation. It has to create a reliable, structured data backbone for the wider smart-building environment.

A smart-ready BMS depends on more than panels and point schedules. It needs consistent naming, readable control logic, sensible integration boundaries, clean EMS data and commissioning evidence that future operators and software platforms can trust.

Building the data backbone

Our work is focused on the BMS and EMS package: understanding the points, developing the control strategy, coordinating panel delivery and making sure the system can support both day-one operation and future smart-building integration.

There is a significant level of software and integration work behind what can look like a standard controls package. The BMS becomes one of the building's most important data layers, carrying the signals that operations, analytics, energy reporting, maintenance and tenant experience will depend on.
