Titan Native: Building Edge Around Real BMS Hardware
A closer look at why Automatry Edge is being developed alongside trusted controls partners such as Titan Products.
Edge is shaped by real hardware, open protocols, commissioning experience, and close technical collaboration.
We recently visited Titan Products to spend more time with their team and strengthen the technical relationship behind our work. We also installed an Automatry Edge gateway at Titan as part of that collaboration.
This matters because Edge is not being designed as a detached software product that sits above a building and hopes the data makes sense. It is being shaped around real BMS hardware, real network behaviour, real commissioning workflows, and the products we actually use on live projects.
What we mean by Titan native
When we call Edge Titan native, we mean the platform is being developed with a detailed understanding of Titan's ecosystem: NetMaster, networked IO, BACnet routing, sensors, room controllers and the way these products are configured in practice.
That understanding helps reduce brittle integration work. It allows Edge to read data with better context, present systems in a way that reflects the installed hardware, and support engineers without forcing every project through a generic point-mapping exercise.
Why close partnerships matter
Strong hardware partnerships make the software better. They help us understand what products are available now, what is coming next, and how modern open-protocol controls can be used alongside Edge.
The best version of Edge will not come from guessing at the controls layer from a distance. It will come from working closely with the people building the hardware, installing it on projects, and supporting it after handover.
Titan remain an important technical partner in that process.
